Grass Root Group hires G&D livemotive trio
Grass Roots Group (GRG) has hired Wolfgang Doll, the former managing director of G&D livemotive, a Wuppertal-based live events agency that closed earlier this year.
Doll is one of three people hired from the defunct agency. Others are Harald Meidt and Dirk Beckner, the award-winning creative duo specialising in stage design and event creativity.
At Grass Roots, Doll will oversee a number of high-profile accounts that include Volkswagen. He will report to Dirk Zieling, the agency's director of client services.
Meidt and Beckner will lead Grass Roots' creative department and are expected to work across the agency's client base.
The hirings come as Grass Roots looks to strengthen its expertise in the live communication field. The trio are expected to create a bespoke department within the agency to answer the increasing demand for live events.
The Grass Roots Group, which was formerly Maritz, has offices in 15 countries. It has a number of global corporate clients that include Microsoft, Toyota, General Motors, Deutsche Bank, Blackberry, Barclay's, Zara and Starbucks.
